Learn the beautiful technique of watercolour painting in small classes with local watercolour artist Debra Meier.
Watercolour classes commence Thursday 13 February until 27 March 2025 at the Gallery Container in Toukley, Toukley Village Green.
10am-12noon
$60 with all materials provided.
Classes are a maximum of 8 people.
About Creative Spaces
Designed to foster innovation and creativity, the gallery container at Toukley Village Green will provide an exciting space for selected artists to exhibit and connect with the community through creative workshops, talks, collaborations with other artists and installations throughout the year.
About Debra Meier
From 13 January to 28 March 2025, watercolour artist Debra Meier will be our next artist to take up their artist residency in the Gallery Container at Toukley. A highly respected fauna, flora and birdlife watercolour artist, Debra takes her inspiration from the local environment around her. From the waratahs at Patonga to the banksias along the coastal walks, Debra’s art captures the beauty and fragile of these native plants. Also featured in Debra’s art are endangered Australian bird species and animals using her passion to paint these to promote their vulnerability.
During her time at the Gallery Container, Debra will hold a series of watercolour workshop demonstrations, weekly watercolour classes and give artist talks including topics such as inspiration, art process, social media engagement and selling art. During her residency Debra will be joined by local artist Karen Tracey.
