A day for kids and family at the Girri Girra Bush school.
Creating your very own Aboriginal artifacts and art to keep, learning cultural connection practices and have a day of fun in nature.
We will have 3 activities on each of the days
Activities list is:
- Harvesting of materials required
- Clap stick making
- Weaving with Gymea Lily ( cordage and bracelet)
- Fishing Spears made in the traditional way
- Clay pot & sculpture, decorated with Earthen Ocres we have collected from Mother Earth.
- Story telling
- Connection to country practice
- Paint up and dance for fun… we can use our clap sticks to clap along.
BYO lunch for a picnic
Dates available these holidays are : Sunday 6th 10am-4pm, Thursday 10th 10am-4pm, Saturday 12th 10am-4pm
Children under 8 must be accompanied by an adult.
Location: “The Bush School” Girri Girra, Peats Ridge rd, NSW
Cost: Individual prices are $130 per head
Family units of 4-6 are capped at $390 ( to book a family you need to email info@girrigirra.com.au and arrange the booking manually.)
