We are proud to announce we will be hosting a wonderful Indigenous Stargazing Tour, in May 2025. Our Bouddi Peninsula is a spectacular area to observe the night sky. In fact, Palm Beach Headland, just opposite us, was officially designated as the first Urban Night Sky Place in Australia by DarkSky International.
An Urban Night Sky Place aims to feature and preserve a wonderful starry dark sky experience for visitors and educate them on the benefits of proper outdoor lighting that ensures public safety while protecting the night sky. One of the few sites in the greater Sydney basin where city light pollution is at a minimum, our Bouddi Peninsula boasts unforgettable views of the starry night sky.
Join us for this very exciting small group experience. Stay Friday May 16 to Sunday May 18 with a spectacular nighttime guided Stargazing Tour on Saturday evening, May 17, 2025 7.30-9.30pm.
This particular weekend has been chosen for spectacular Stargazing over the ocean from our Bouddi Peninsula. There will be some captivating celestial events in May with the Milky Way beautifully visible on clear nights, showcasing its core as it rises in the east after dark. Additionally, the Eta Aquarids meteor shower, associated with Halley's Comet, still active from its peak earlier in May, will offer the chance to catch some meteors. On Saturday 17th May, the waning gibbous moon will rise around 8:30 pm, adding another element to the night’s atmosphere.
2-night weekend retreat costs:
Solo Stargazer Package - From $1,710 in king suite
Stargazer Package for 2 people - From $2,060 in king suite
