About the artist
Blending moods of alt-country and surf folk with the sonic world of indie rock, it is a diverse pallet that Nieko draws from that makes his work immediately familiar yet distinctly its own. Inspired as much by an era of music gone by as current sonic trends and Genre-defying Pop music, Nieko manages to capture the essence of nostalgia, contemporary events, and the great unknown in a song.
Having toured both nationally and internationally, Nieko has played premier venues and festivals such as Peats Ridge and Open Arms and supported the likes of the Beautiful Girls, Blue King Brown, Ash Grunwald, Jeff Martin, and Jeff Lang. As singer-songwriter with Costa Rae, Nieko’s songs have been played on JJJ, FBI, Rage and Max, as well as featured on several surf films.

Live and Local is a free music discovery trail held on Friday 1st November and Saturday 2nd November 2024, as part of Gossy Weekender, where visitors can experience newfound artists’ sounds in venues throughout Gosford CBD.
Wander the streets of Gosford and experience live music echoing around every corner, from coffee-shop courtyards, lively laneways, bespoke bars, enchanting churches, bustling breweries, and everything in between.
Head to Gosford from 5pm on Friday, or from 10am on Saturday to experience 40+ musicians and bands playing across multiple venues showcasing regional and local talent, there's something for everyone!
Live and Local is presented by Central Coast Council and Destination Central Coast in partnership with Live Music Office and APRA AMCOS, and in collaboration with local partners Central Coast Music & Arts (CCMA) and Musicians Making a Difference (MMAD).
