The Sustainable Future Festival is a FREE community event celebrating living sustainably on the NSW Central Coast.
The festival kicks off with a dedicated school day on Friday 13 September, followed by a community-wide day on Saturday 14 September.
Held at Memorial Park, The Entrance, the Sustainable Future Festival aims to educate and inspire Central Coast residents on how to live more sustainably and keep our Coast as beautiful as ever.
The annual two-day event will showcase a series of engaging workshops, demonstrations, speakers, performances and markets with a particular focus around resource management, reducing waste, recycling more and living for a sustainable future.
This free event includes:
- Guest appearance at the Saturday event by environmental advocate Craig Reucassel (The Chaser and War on Waste)
- Live music from Junkyard Beats
- Create your very own dot painting on a river rock
- Learn how to make a milk and honey bath from local ingredients
- Make your own play dough using sustainable dyes
- Meet local wildlife from Central Coast Zoo, learning about their role in the ecosystem
- Catch a performance by Amelie Ecology
- Workshops on composting, worm farming and plastic recycling
