Join us and the Take 3 team for The Lakes Festival Community Clean Up to reduce the amount of plastic pollution that is killing wildlife and marine life, devastating oceans and threatening the health of our planet. There are plenty of other activities on offer, including information stalls, and interactive beach and swim safety lessons from local author and surf lifesaver Louise Lambeth. Louise will also be reading from three of her water-themed stories Annie and the Waves, Rohit and the River, and Tight Lines.
Information stalls:
1Coast: Discover how to keep Our Coast clean and protect our waterways with activities and games to inspire waste avoidance, waste reduction and resource recovery for a sustainable future.
OzFish: Check out the OzFish riparian display which shows the importance of these habitats to improve water quality. There will also be a fishing knot tying competition to encourage people to tie good knots and eliminate unnecessary fishing line loss
Central Coast Council Water and Sewer: Swing by the Water and Sewer Education Tent for a splash of fun and test your knowledge on all things water and sewer related!

The Lakes Festival is back for its ninth year! This popular annual event will be making a splash across the entire Central Coast between 8-17 November 2024.
This huge 10-DAY celebration of our waterways brings locals and visitors together to enjoy exciting family-friendly activities, cultural and educational programs hosted by local organisations and businesses.
