Get ready for inspiration on our river cruises

Enjoy River Cruises on a heritage boat to the places where it all happened on the Hawkesbury River.

Discover multi-layered histories while boating along the river, from the drafting of the Constitution to secret Operation Jaywick, Z Special Unit, and the largest construction project in the southern hemisphere.

There is an amazing group of historians, archaeologists, authors, social commentators, and storytellers on board.

They’ll delve into the lesser-known histories of the Lower Hawkesbury River, with a special focus on the drafting of the constitution at Refuge Bay with constitutional lawyer Dr Shireen Morris.

A wonderful lunch is promised on Dangar Island.

You can choose either the Afloat am morning cruise, Afloat pm afternoon cruise or both!

Afloat am, the morning cruise is in the company of historian Mark Dunn sharing stories about Bungaree - how he successfully retained his connection to country while navigating the rapidly changing world of the early colony.

We'll also be hearing about the very secret mission of Operation Jaywick and insights into life on the wooden fishing boat the Krait as it headed into enemy waters

On the Afloat pm, afternoon tour we hear stories of the largest construction project in the Southern hemisphere and links to federation.

Further along the river enjoy a peek behind the scenes of the smoking room aboard the Lucinda with a reimagining of the constitutional discussions that took place in 1891including histories of Indigenous representation.
