About the artists

5pm Lucy Parle

Few storytellers can distil raw emotion into melody like Lucy Parle. The golden-haired songbird’s authentic take on Country music, displays a maturity that belies her age.

Lucy took out first place in the coveted International Songwriting Competition, ‘Teen’ category in 2020 and was named a standout performer in triple j's Unearthed High in 2021.

As opening act for Casey Barnes (2022), Ash Grunwald (2023), Alex Lloyd (2023) and Mahalia Barnes (2024), she’s more than earned her stripes.

Local Country music icon Gina Jeffreys describes Lucy as an “unbelievably talented songwriter and performer with talent well beyond her years”

6:30pm: Piper Butcher and The Warning

Commanding audiences with soulful tones and an engrossing stage presence, songstress Piper Butcher will give you shivers.
Hailing from the Hunter Valley, Piper has paved her music pathway supporting acts including Robben Ford (US), Ryan McMullan (UK), Kasey Chambers, Nathan Cavaleri, GRAACE, Ash Grunwald, Tori Forsyth, Kav Temperely (Eskimo Joe), You Am I, Karise Eden, Diesel and more... With the modern musical flair of Miley Cyrus and timeless influence of Stevie Nicks, any performance of Piper’s gives an insight into her unique sound and fresh style. 

8pm: Courtney Keil 

Courtney Keil was crowned the ‘Best Female Vocal’ at the 2023 & 2024 Australian Country Music People’s Choice Awards at the Tamworth Country Music Festival.

Her debut album ‘The Good Kind’, released in 2023, debuted as the #1 Australian album on the iTunes Country Australia chart which included four of her #1 singles. 

Courtney has been touring with artists including Gina Jeffreys, Adam Harvey, Brian Cadd, Andrew Swift and The Whitlams. Performing on Channel 7 ‘Good Friday Appeal’, the National Anthem on 7 Network Supercars Championship at Bathurst and Sandown and at the NBL Grand Final Re-Match aired on Foxtel.

 

About Love and Local

Live and Local is a free music discovery trail held on Friday 1st November and Saturday 2nd November 2024, as part of Gossy Weekender, where visitors can experience newfound artists’ sounds in venues throughout Gosford CBD.  

Wander the streets of Gosford and experience live music echoing around every corner, from coffee-shop courtyards, lively laneways, bespoke bars, enchanting churches, bustling breweries, and everything in between. 

Head to Gosford from 5pm on Friday, or from 10am on Saturday to experience 40+ musicians and bands playing across multiple venues showcasing regional and local talent, there's something for everyone!  

Live and Local is presented by Central Coast Council and Destination Central Coast in partnership with Live Music Office and APRA AMCOS, and in collaboration with local partners Central Coast Music & Arts (CCMA) and Musicians Making a Difference (MMAD).
