About the artists
6:30pm: Tygua
Tygua are a duo of two powerful female artists, Danny Telas and Oroana. They are a futuristic musical project rooted in ancestral wisdom, that combines traditional melodies from Indigenous and African roots of Colombia, blended with electronic sounds and voices of both duo members. Their live set brings a diverse selection of traditional rythms such as Bullerengue, Cumbia, Currulao as well as unique instruments such as percussion and wind instruments that are nominated as unique patrimonial and cultural heritage of Colombia and the world.
8:15pm: Almighty Zilla
Almighty Zilla aka Zilla is a Nigerian born, Australia based Afrobeats Performer Is an inspiring solo artist whose aims to create a legacy of evergreen music for his children and all the world to share.
His music is a modern day blend of Afrobeats with hints of his African Tribal heritage, bouncing in and out of English, Tribal & Pidgin, basing his sounds from his own life experiences, and the struggles of his people. These words he shares from his fond memories of his father and grandmother who would sit him down as a young boy to listen to stories instilling strong family values and respect for his culture and elders.
His achievements include huge success performing on stages throughout Asia, this Rasta is all about encouraging Peace Love & Unity under his self made brand 'Arastamanthing'. New EP out now!
About Love and Local
Live and Local is a free music discovery trail held on Friday 1st November and Saturday 2nd November 2024, as part of Gossy Weekender, where visitors can experience newfound artists’ sounds in venues throughout Gosford CBD.
Wander the streets of Gosford and experience live music echoing around every corner, from coffee-shop courtyards, lively laneways, bespoke bars, enchanting churches, bustling breweries, and everything in between.
Head to Gosford from 5pm on Friday, or from 10am on Saturday to experience 40+ musicians and bands playing across multiple venues showcasing regional and local talent, there's something for everyone!
Live and Local is presented by Central Coast Council and Destination Central Coast in partnership with Live Music Office and APRA AMCOS, and in collaboration with local partners Central Coast Music & Arts (CCMA) and Musicians Making a Difference (MMAD).
