Davistown Putt Putt Regatta & Wooden Boat Festival Inc

Come and see the Putt Putt boats and stay for the markets and premium food experience

The heart of our charter is to display and promote wooden boat and their enthusiastic owners, we also look to provide a family focused day where the local community and visitors to the area can have an enjoyable day in a safe and family friendly environment. 2025 marks the 27th anniversary of the Regatta. The Putt Putt Regatta is planned, managed and executed entirely by enthusiastic volunteers.

Along with the wooden boats, Dragon Boats, Scouts and specialty marine visitors there are over 75 specialty retail and food outlets on the day. The organising committee also makes available facilities for local community and service groups such as Rotary, Lions, Sailing Clubs, 3 Villages and vintage car and farm machinery displays.

The market atmosphere and the boating activities annually attract in excess of 12,000 visitors to the Davistown foreshore. In 2024 it was estimated that 15,000 people attended across the course of the day. In this form the Regatta has the reputation of being one of the largest event of its kind on the eastern seaboard.

In addition, the aims of the Wooden Boat Association of NSW, namely - "To promote an active interest in all matters relating to the history, development, building, restoration and preservation of Wooden Boats" have been adopted. In addition to Sunday's Regatta the weekend includes a Charity Dinner at the Davistown RSL raising funds for the Kids with Cancer Foundation Australia and on the day prior to the Regatta there is a Heritage Ferry Challenge run on Brisbane Water with the assistance of the Gosford Sailing Club. This event also supports the Kids with Cancer Foundation.
