Fresh Find #2 - New places to eat & drink
Winning whiskey in Wyong Creek
The Central Coast is full of hidden gems and non-other than this one. One hour north of Sydney in the unspoilt Yarramalong Valley is Amber Lane Distillery at Wyong Creek. Recently winning two gold medals at the San Francisco World Spirits Awards 2023, Amber Lane is a place where you can taste globally recognised Australian whiskey from a multi-award winning distillery. Using traditional distilling techniques from Europe, the founder Rod Berry believes without a doubt that whiskey appreciation brings people together.
Offering corporate events and private group tours, participants can blend their own whiskey from the Amber Lane barrel warehouse as well as learn how whiskey is made and how to appreciate a quality whiskey. The fun and relaxed experiences are perfect for the novice through to the whiskey expert and afterwards why not purchase a bottle to enjoy at home?
Keep an eye out for their special open days where they open the doors to the public for whiskey tasting and a look behind the scenes.

Fresh Find #4 - New places to stay
Escape to a coastal cottage
Going on holiday is about not battling the crowds but finding the serenity, and a little bit of luxury, and we think the coastal charm of Magnolia House in the beachside suburb of Forresters Beach offers just that. It is your home away from home but with a beach at your doorstep.
Wake up to the morning sunlight flooding through the French doors and start the day by going on a coastal walk where you may be lucky to spot a whale during migration season. Come back home and enjoy a heated shower outdoors before taking a short stroll to the local shopping village to grab a coffee at Drift coffee kazbah and sweet treats from Brown Sugar Bakery then browse the local boutiques, such as Drift Living, Forresters Beach is renowned for.
In the evening settle around the firepit area to watch the sunset behind Wambina Nature Reserve while the kids play in the cutest coastal cubby house in the fully fenced back garden.
With a recent full renovation, the three bedroom holiday rental sleeps seven and is beautifully decorated with a Hamptons/Coastal decor in tones of neutral and timber.
Currently they have a special offer for May bookings. Book a Friday and Saturday night and get Sunday night free or book Monday and Tuesday night and receive Wednesday and Thursday for free!
