Where to find your daily cup of coffee on the Central Coast
Everyday thousands of Coasties rise from their slumber to start their morning routine, many include a visit to their favourite coffee spot for that all important beverage.
This rich, dark liquid with its enveloping aroma and invigorating taste, plays a pivotal role in our lives. For many, life would feel impossible without it.
What is driving this insatiable thirst, and how has the beverage come to conquer the world? We're not sure, but we are lucky on the Central Coast that our coffee scene can rival the likes of Sydney and Melbourne where our neighbourhoods from north to south, headland to hinterland, serve up some of the best coffee.
From aesthetically pleasing cafes with ocean views, to warehouse cafes to get you on the road quickly, we're spilling the beans on where to find some of our local’s favourite places to grab a cup of delicious coffee on the Central Coast.
Coffee on the headlands
The Kraken Kiosk, Norah Head
If you're keen for coffee just before, or after, your beach walk or swim at Soldiers Beach, head towards the Soldiers Beach SLSC and you'll find The Kraken Kiosk. Aside from their delicious coffee you can grab a bite to eat and if you're brave try the mighty Kraken Burger.
Arcady North, The North Entrance
A little hidden gem in The North Entrance is Arcady North; a small family-run cafe with some outdoor picnic tables off the road. They offer tasty food, treats, and of course, a great cup of coffee.
Flour & Co., Toowoon Bay
On your way to Toowoon Bay or Blue Bay you'll run into a quaint row of shops where Flour & Co., a family business, has been a resident here for over 30 years. Originally a bakery, Toowoon Bay Pie Shop, the shop was rebranded and launched as a must-stop coffee spot near the beach.
Cafe Mocha, Bateau Bay
Looking for a post-hike caffeine hit? Head to the row of shops on Bateau Bay Road where you'll find Cafe Mocha, a small, bustling cafe filled with life and well known to make a satisfying coffee just minutes from Bateau Bay beach.
Local Hero Coffee Roasters, Bateau Bay
Local Hero Coffee Brewers is are a team of two Central Coast specialty coffee roasters supplying their beans across the region's cafes. Here they serve light breakfasts, fresh coffee, ground beans, speciality tea and pastries. A great dog walking pit stop where you and your four-legged mate can watch the world go by.

Bellyfish, Terrigal
As you head down the hill into the town centre of Terrigal you'll find a sun-filled cafe whose walls are adorned by local mural artist Grant Molony's vibrant and nature-inspired work. Bellyfish is positioned directly across from Terrigal Beach with ample seating inside and outside, so depending on the weather you can sit outside and enjoy the sunshine, or inside to enjoy the beautiful murals.
Freestate, Terrigal
Enjoy a day at the beach or exploring the beachside shops stopping along the way to grab your coffee and a carefully chosen menu from Freestate. Located on the bustling beachfront esplanade at Terrigal, this cafe is a favourite of locals and visitors alike.
Haven Beach kiosk, Terrigal
After a stroll to The Skillion, a swim at the Haven, or a meander along the boardwalk, the Haven Beach Kiosk is a special spot for break to enjoy the view. Order your favourite coffee, succulent takeaway fish and chips, and other out-of-this-world ocean delights.
The Boy and The Rose, North Avoca
Located in the heart of beautiful North Avoca, this cafe perfectly reflects the relaxed style of the area. The Boy and The Rose serve locally roasted coffee, all day breakfast and locally sourced produce.
Like Minds, Avoca
Just a few minutes from the popular Avoca Beach is an old corner store that has been revamped. Like Minds cafe serve up the goods with a soul soothing coffee, Burnt Honey Bakery bites and produce sourced from their on-site vegetable garden.
The Point Café, Avoca Beach
Located right on the point at Avoca Beach, you couldn't get any closer to the beach. The Point Cafe is the perfect place to grab a coffee for your beach day. Whether you're enjoying a casual breakfast with family or an elaborate long lunch with friends, the view across Avoca Beach is the perfect backdrop.

Blackfinn Espresso, Toukley
Head through the main drag of Toukley and you'll be captivated by a vibrant caravan-turned-cafe lined with lush grass and outdoor tables. Blackfinn Espresso can be found on Toukley's Main Road serving a delicious breakfast menu and the freshest coffee.
Café 2261, Long Jetty
Located a short stroll from Tuggerah lake, Café 2261 (formerly Belle & Co) is a vibrant, cool place that love featuring two blends of Veneziano Coffee alongside local legends Shhmoakesys Pies.
Green Tangerine, Long Jetty
Well known in the Long Jetty area, and one of the longest standing corner cafes, they're known for their delicious baked goods and coffee served with a smile. Green Tangerine is not one to be missed - and they also serve the incredible Shhmoakesys Pies.
The Morning Coffee Society, Long Jetty
If you want a great coffee experience in a space that has a warm and inviting vibe, head to Morning Coffee Society to savour a coffee and a delightful breakfast (or classic Aussie brunch) with friends.

The Source - Glee Coffee, Wyong
They say it's in the name, this aptly named coffee house is the shopfront of the iconic local coffee roasters Glee Coffee. Opened at varying times, enjoy a delicious cup of Glee coffee brewed fresh from The Source.
Chapman Coffee House, Wyong
Located in the beautiful historic Chapman Building, this bustling café is a great space to sit and unwind as you sip good coffee. Chapman Coffee House (formerly Glee Coffee House) is a favourite among locals and visitors to Wyong. If the coffee doesn't draw you in then their vast menu will.
The Daily Coffee Brew, Berkeley Vale
In the industrial area of Berkeley Vale you'll find The Daily Coffee Brew with this cool Marrickville-esque vibe of a café that serves up a good roast for your daily caffeine hit, along with the classic B&E rolls and Avo smash.
Ministry Café, Wyoming
Driving through Wyoming you'll find Ministry Café along the main road, looks can be deceiving as this café serves up a bold and aromatic cup of coffee. They also make some drool worthy desserts, do yourself a favour at stop by to have a coffee and dessert, you won't be disappointed.
Legend Coffee and Culture, West Gosford
Legend Coffee and Culture is a specialty coffee roaster and cafe fuelling Central Coast locals (and many cafes) with quality brews. Swing by for your daily coffee fix and a bite to eat from their simple menu, which includes epic toasties, tarts, muffins and scrolls. Try The Keith toastie alongside a batch brew and forever be changed.
South End Social, Gosford
Drive into Gosford's CBD and you'll find this light and airy casual espresso bar, café and wine bar. Stop by South End Social where you can find the perfect spot to sit and enjoy your coffee, choose from their cosy leather chairs, stools or alfresco dining. By night, they operate a tapas menu and is the perfect spot for after 5pm drinks.
Local Hero Coffee Roasters, Erina
Local Hero Coffee Roasters is another of the Central Coasts specialty coffee roasters supplying their beans across the coasts cafes. If you're thinking that you can only grab beans and grounds then you'd be mistaken, you can also grab a coffee and a light breakfast. They also have a second location at Bateau Bay where you can sit down to have a bite and a coffee.
34 Beans Café, Erina
Featuring black and timber finishes, modern furniture, and boutique plants 34 Beans Café is situated just out of sight from the bustling road. It offers a tranquil place to sit and enjoy a cuppa.
Kincumber Post Café, Kincumber
In the sunny suburb of Kincumber you'll find a what was once a Post Office during 1945-1990, now given new life and turned into a vibrant, welcoming café. Kincumber Post Cafe has a small play area for kids, is dog friendly, and their coffee tastes great before or after your adventures up nearby Kincumba Mountain!

Lords of Pour, Ettalong Beach
This jewel in the Central Coast's coffee crown is a relaxed, fully licensed eatery serving specialty coffee and simple, house-made, fresh food with a modern twist. Lords of Pour is known for their choice of coffee beans, décor and their delicious menu.
Cookabrew, Umina Beach
On your way to Umina Beach stop by Cookabrew for a welcoming atmosphere blending sleek lines, warm wood tones, and coastal vibes to offer artisanal coffee and gourmet bites.
Six Degrees Café, Umina Beach
On the main road in Umina Beach you'll find among the row of shops Six Degrees Café with a great breakfast, lunch and dinner menu along with a delicious cup of coffee.
The Fat Goose, Killcare
The Fat Goose Cafe is a relaxed setting to enjoy breakfast, lunch or simply coffee and a chat. It is a great meeting spot to enjoy a leisurely breakfast or lunch either on their premises, alfresco in their garden cafe or takeaway.
Coffee in the hinterland
Triple Two Cafe, Somersby
In the heart of the industrial area of Somersby is this funky café, only minutes from the Australian Reptile Park, Somersby Falls and the M1. Triple Two Café is a great place to stop to grab a coffee and a bite to eat.
Bambinos Cafe, Kulnura
If you're heading out to the Eastcoast Beverages site you'll be pleased to find an onsite café, Bambinos Café, serving an array of citrus-inspired sweet and savoury treats, and of course a great cup of coffee.
