Bring the family, pack a picnic and come down to Gosford waterfront to explore the new Leagues Club Park.
This exciting, new park on the edge of the beautiful Brisbane Water is open to the public and accessible to everyone. The construction of the new Leagues Club Park on the Central Coast was conducted throughout the unfolding COVID-19 pandemic, as part of the NSW Government’s dramatic transformation of the playspace at the heart of the Central Coast’s capital, Gosford.
Kids will have fun adventuring through the nature-inspired playspace with its uniquely interactive discovery trail, while adults can go on their own tour of the space and discover its significant features linked to local indigenous heritage.
The cultural heart
The Darkinjung Local Aboriginal Land Council played an integral part in the park's design. Local Aboriginal culture has been imbued into the site's cultural heart, including a circular gathering space formed by large timber poles. These are adorned with stunning designs by a local artist and will create a unique space for the community to gather, relax and learn.
Play Pods
Three 'play pods' are designed to encourage unstructured play, climbing and exploration. They are connected by rope tunnels and culminate in a twisting slide back to the ground.
