With activities for the adventure seeker, the creator, baker and gamer, you kids won't be bored these holidays! Many of the events are free and some require a booking to reserve your space. So, without delay, check out the events below in our local libraries, leisure centres, gallery, theatre and community, you will be kept very busy!

Magic Door writing workshop with author Jess Black | Tue 14 January 2025| 10am-12pm | Kincumber Library| $5.50
In this workshop children can explore their own portal into a magic world through the device of a magic door. They will work on the world, the setting, characters, magical creatures, devices and how to make it back to their own world!
Writing workshop with Rebecca J Chaney | Tues 21 January 2025 | 10:30-11:30am| Erina Library| Free
Rebecca J. Chaney will be at Erina Library to talk about her children’s adventure novel, Stu and the Sketchy Time Stops, and will be running an interactive creative writing workshop where participants create their own story!

Decorate and personalise a pair of book ends for your room at home. Create a Design Space account and design decal using Design Space software and permanent vinyl on our Cricut machine. Book ends, iPad, permanent vinyl and Cricut machine provided.

Enjoy a reading of the picture book ‘Three Dancing Frogs’. Author Leigh Hardington also will bring along his guitar to lead us in some music fun and invite you to join in a creative drawing exercise where you get to draw your very own Dancing Frog.

Join us for a screen-free robotics experience using Ozobots, tiny robots that can identify lines, colours and codes drawn on physical surfaces. Draw lines and arrange colours to get the miniature robots zigging, zagging and zooming based on your commands
Nara Iconic Figures | Wed 22 Janurary 2025 | 1-3pm | Gosford Regional Gallery | $30
Let's be inspired by Yoshitomo Nara, an iconic Japanese artist known for his signature style of painting faces. Students will learn how to draw in his recognisable style, then paint their artworks with acrylic paints on canvas.
Imaginary Friends | Wed 22 January 2025 | 10am-12pm | Gosford Regional Gallery | $30
Students will delve into their imaginations to paint fuzzy, furry, fearsome, funny and fabulous imaginary friends! Using a combination of drawing, watercolour and colour pencils to bring their illustrations to life.
